Sons of Speed 2018

We will be joining Billy Lane and the Sons of Speed once again this year during Bike Week in Daytona. We are excited to get the 1915 back on the New Smyrna 1/2 mile and see how our improvements made on the bike will translate to the track. 2016 Motorcycle Cannonball

Tomorrow we pack the rig, and Tuesday AM we set out for Atlantic City. The bike is running well and we will be making our way to the east coast. The bike is done and we showed it at Mama Tried last weekend here in Milwaukee. What a show. Great motorcycles from all over the US and Canada and great racing to boot! We will start to sell our t-shirts soon so stay tuned!

Time for Grey.

Time to get the old girl in her colors for next summer. 

In the next few weeks the 1915 will be moving along 

and transforming from naked metal to her final coat of grey.

Final gear ratio madness!

Who said there would be no math in the Motorcycle Cannonball? Tonight I tried to figure out a happy medium with a single-speed final drive. Too tall, good for Oklahoma, sucks in Colorado! Too low, dead in the hills! I went from a 3.84 to a 4.38. Not quite a sidecar gear, but close!

On its way to Sturgis!

I finished the 1915 and it is on the way to the Michael Lichter 'Naked Truth' show at the Legendary Buffalo Chip in Sturgis. It will be on display with 34 other bikes in thew raw from all over the world. When it returns, I will race it at Davenport and then begin the process of tearing it down and painting it for next years Cannonball.

Boonie Bike Beat-Off

This weekend was the Boonie Bike Beat-Off, a great way to blow off some steam! 27 guys on a motocross course on 50 cc mini-bikes. Total carnage....

Time to make the donuts!

Got the frame back to day from the master Mr. Lange. he had to tweak a few things I was afraid to conquer on my own. Sometimes it is better left to have Yoda lift the X-Wing out of the swamp until you are ready... Everything else is fitting up great and now it will be a bit of a scramble to get it ready for the Naked Truth Show in Sturgis at the Buffalo Chip. Come see it!
